Based in our Nangor Road, Dublin office, Howden Ireland are delighted to have a vacancy as an Financial Planning & Analysis Executive for our Finance team that will be an integral part of our wider Corporate team. About the role:Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis the successful Financial Planning & Analysis Executive will primarily will support the FP&A function in delivering accurate financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to inform business decisions.This role involves will provide insights that enhance the company’s financial performance, while also assisting in key strategic projects all sectors of the Broking businesses.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring they meet the company’s strategic goals.
  • Conduct variance analysis to explain deviations between actuals and forecasts, and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Support the development of financial models to provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business units to gather relevant data for accurate financial analysis and reporting.
  • Assist in managing the month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support the integration of newly acquired businesses by providing financial analysis and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Help monitor and manage financial risks, providing recommendations to mitigate them.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance FP&A processes and reporting standards.
  • Adhere to Compliance as outlined in Handbook and Procedures Manual.


About You:

  • 4+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or related roles, ideally within the financial services or insurance industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Contribution to improving financial performance metrics.
  • Effective support of strategic initiatives and business decision-making.
  • Integration of new businesses into FP&A reporting processes.
