About this role
Within the FP&A group, BlackRock is seeking an Analyst to join the Finance Information & Analytics (FI&A) Team. The FI&A team operates with a Center of Excellence (CoE) model and is responsible for efficient, thoughtful, and scalable production to meet operational excellence, deliver high-value business insights through front-end visualization tools, application of modelling and analytics to generate new insights at scale, engage with technology partners to accelerate data and process transformation.
Team is actively involved in firm wide Revenue forecasting and budgeting process, production of ARMR/Actuals which is key source of information for Management reporting purposes. Team produces information that helps articulate BlackRock’s vision and message to investors, clients and press, as well as providing quantitative and qualitative support for senior management decisions.
The team is also responsible for the external and internal reporting of BlackRock’s AUM, Net New Business, Revenue and related analytics. On a weekly basis the team calculates AUM and NNBF, enriches it with pipeline, revenue and client commentary, and provides informative reports to senior management.
The Finance Information & Analytics team is committed to performance excellence, the continuous optimization of its operating and production model and the rapid advancement of its strategic and tactical initiatives.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for carrying out activities of AUM Revenue Management Reporting (ARMR)/Revenue analytics Team, which include Client Business (CB) and Investments (ISG) production, Firmwide and Business level Revenue Budgeting, Forecasting & Project Support.
Responsibilities:
Perform month-end close process related actuals
Execute firm level and business level revenue forecast including forecast production, variance analysis supporting CFO reporting, contribute to firm level revenue reporting and analysis
Perform Hierarchy Manager updates and revenue related recast processes across FP&A
Participate and support AUM and Revenue enhancement projects and drive standardization/automation
Act as SME on CB/ISG Management reporting views and output, can handle queries from different partners such as FP&A, Controllers and business partners
Become a contributor to the development of appropriate metrics and control framework to better manage and report AUM, flows and Revenue information

Skills and Qualifications:
MBA/CA with minimum 2-4 years of experience with a similar profile, preferably Investment Management and/or financial industry experience but not mandatory
Ability to handle large data and derive meaningful information
Analytical bent of mind combined with financial acumen. Well-versed with Finance terminologies
Ability to develop a deep understanding of the business and its key drivers
Ability to build relationship with multiple stakeholders
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment (across Finance)
Understanding and/or experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting
'Can-do' attitude - willing to contribute at all levels in a small but high performing team environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands
Experience of working on advanced Excel. Knowledge of MS Access will be added advantage
Experience with TM1 or similar multi-dimensional analytical tool skills is helpful but not essential

Skills Required
- MBA or Chartered Accountant qualification
- 2-4 years of experience in a similar FP&A or financial analysis role
- Ability to handle large datasets and derive meaningful information
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
- Understanding or experience in finance, accounting, and financial reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
- Ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders
