The Job/What You'll Do:
The Financial Institutional, Consultant is an internal sales role designed to support our Financial Institutional sales team in building and nurturing relationships within the bank and trust channel. To do this you will utilize sales software to illustrate product performance, generate proposals, manage and fulfill sales material requests & provide coverage for team members as needed. In this role, you will support channel growth and help drive the production of new assets. Your responsibilities will include managing key administrative tasks and supporting new and ongoing initiatives for the bank and trust channels.
Candidates for this position should have an exceptional customer focus, excellent written and verbal communication skills, a service-oriented mindset, and strong project organization skills.
We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our office locations in Chicago, IL, Encino, CA, or Phoenix, AZ.
Responsibilities:
- Keep up to date with relevant investment information, including platform updates, marketing materials, operational changes, industry news, and market events
- Demonstrate expertise and knowledge to consult with advisors on product details, performance, positioning, and investment allocations
- Educate, and consult bank advisors on the platform, investments, and practice management offerings
- Demonstrate the core features and capabilities of the platform and supporting applications to banks
- Build relationships with financial institutional sales, Cheetah, and banks and deliver strong presentations through effective phone and written communication
- Proactively communicate with banks and ask insightful questions to identify additional needs and highlight expanded partnership opportunities
- Serve as a point of contact for escalated service-related issues and provide backup support for team members as needed
- Actively manage and refine the various leads, prospects, and opportunities within a sales funnel to ensure they are aligned with business goals, properly nurtured, and move forward efficiently toward closing

- Strong understanding of Custodial Services and Trust Accounting systems offered to Financial Institutions preferred

- Ability to adapt quickly and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Proven experience utilizing Salesforce or similar CRM tools to manage pipelines effectively
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or finance field
- Experience evaluating managed money platforms
- Experience working with Financial Institutions within the bank and trust channel preferred
- 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry
- Active NASAA license requirement: Series 65
Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $70,000 - $90,000
This information reflects a base compensation range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.
