What You Will Do – A Glimpse Into Your Role
As a NYSE-listed company operating in a fast-growing industry, SOX compliance and continuous improvement are critical to our success.
As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for day-to-day finance operations and for ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings. You will work closely with other finance teams to support core activities and key projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
- General ledger postings and preparation of supporting documentation in IFRS (especially IFRS 15 & IFRS 16)
- Asset reconciliation and coordination with local teams for inventory counts
- Payroll accounting and close collaboration with local HR to analyse fluctuations
- Intercompany recharge calculations and cooperation with the FP&A team
- Monthly accruals and month-end closing activities
- Reconciliation of assigned GL accounts (balance sheet and P&L)
- Support for statutory year-end closing
- Ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects for senior management
- Issue resolution and accounting query handling
- Business partnering to support decision-making
- SOX control preparation and review
- Contribution to automation and standardisation initiatives
Work Allocation
- Accounting activities – 80%
- Controls – 15%
- Projects – 5%

- Timely completion of SOX controls
- Quality and timeliness of journal postings
- Quality and timeliness of month-end close

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Finance or Economics (ACCA is a plus)
- 4–5 years of experience in finance, ideally in a Shared Services environment
- Experience in a multinational company
- Fluent in English
- Strong Excel and accounting systems skills

📍 Location: Slovakia (Hybrid model – 2 days in the office, 3 days remote)
