MET’s Flexibility Asset Division is responsible for development and execution of the Group’s strategy to support the energy transition by owning, operating and optimizing flexible dispatchable energy capacity, ideally creating synergies with our existing positions. In addition to operating our existing asset base, we continuously evaluate new opportunities to expand the Divisional portfolio. We focus on flexible dispatchable technologies such as gas engines/ CHP (combined heat and power) and CCGT (combined cycle gas turbine) plants, as well as other asset types such as gas storages, batteries and aggregator platforms to fulfill our strategic vision.
We are looking for a Financial Controller to support the work of the Financial Manager in our aggregator platform in Hungary. The objective of the role is performing business controlling tasks, providing professional support for monthly closing and business planning, and suggesting improvements to internal controlling reports.
Job Description- Support business planning and forecasting
- Provide regular and appropriate management reports and financial analysis
- Controlling operation for the aggregator platform
- Assist monthly and annual closing, audit support
- Record and manage contracts, invoices
- Support of treasury-related tasks
- Perform additional tasks - as required - in relation to MET’s activity and operation.
- MSc/BSc in Finance or Economics, major in Accounting or Controlling is appreciated
- 4-5 years relevant professional experience, Accounting, Audit or Controlling experience is appreciated
- Fluent English and Hungarian
- Proficiency in using MS Office (including highly developed proficiency in Excel)
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment, have high personal and professional integrity
- Hands-on attitude with strong ability to cope with pressure
- Ability to meet deadlines and priorities
- Experience in energy sector is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships
- High level of attention to detail
