Financial Controller

Job Description

The Controller monitors the daily financial operations and performance of the company, identifying areas for improvement and providing financial insights and recommendations to senior management. The role includes developing and implementing internal controls to safeguard company assets and optimize internal resources.

Key responsibilities of the job

• Coordinate the preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Ensure country statutory compliance.
• Provide financial insights to Department heads to achieve financial targets and Commercial Excellence
• Lead finance compliance checks within the LATAM group   

Core Activities

• Monitors the daily financial operations and performance of the company and identifies areas for improvement
• Provides leadership in creating a culture of risk management in the organization
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including setting financial targets, analyzing performance deviations, and recommending corrective actions
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and optimize internal resources, manage payroll, taxes and country financial compliance processes.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management, collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits
• Oversee the preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations and company policies

Basic requirements

• Bachelor in Finance or Accounting
• Experience in multi entity financial reporting.
• Proven experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Must be intermediate or above in Spanish (writing and speaking skills)
