FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (MATERNITY COVER)

At our office facilities by the harbor edge in Horsens, you will become part of an energetic office community, consisting of approx. 130 colleagues looking forward to welcoming you in our team from 1 October 2024 or as soon as possible hereafter. The position is a Maternity Cover lasting approx. one year.

About the job

As a Financial Controller in our team, you will be part of a group of five passionate and dedicated colleagues within our Finance department. Together with the other staff, you are responsible for ensuring that all tasks are carried out with the desired quality and to the agreed deadlines.

Furthermore, the documentation and the office are generally in systematic order, so that the workflows in the finance department for HAY ApS are always clear and uncomplicated. In cooperation with your general manager, you are responsible for establishing and developing effective work processes and procedures that ensure the above.

More specifically, your tasks will include:

  • Controlling for HAY ApS and its subsidiaries incl. reporting package to stakeholders in the US
  • Annual Accounts processes for the HAY group in collaboration with the rest of the controlling team
  • Co-lead as point of contact to auditors and advisors in Europe based entities.
  • Assistance with preparation of plan/budget – including coordination and distribution of cost center budgets
  • Monthly-end reporting for a number of HAY entities as well as maintaining and improving reporting standards
  • Support to our Compliance team regarding CSRD/ESG reporting
  • Assist in driving and optimizing accounting processes in the accounting team. This includes the development and maintenance of controls and tools, e.g., standard working papers and accounting guides.
  • Miscellaneous ad hoc.

  • You work structured, are able to make independent decisions, and have a good overview – even when things are going fast
  • As a colleague, you contribute with good humor to our open an informal working environment
  • You will have a large interface in your daily work, it is important that you as a person is outgoing and a good communicator
  • At the same time, you know when to act and when to use your diplomatic skills to ensure optimal cooperation with your colleagues.
  • We also attach great importance to your persistence and focus on detail

Experience required

  • You have an education as a Cand. Merc. Aud., HD, Auditor or similar
  • Preferably supplemented by experience from an internationally company or other work where you have worked with financial statements, budgeting, and monthly reporting
  • You have good IT skills and is a super-user of Excel
  • Your sense for numbers and accounting is strong, as well as your analytical skills
  • Danish and English is fluent in both your writing and speech
