The Role
Lead and supervise the finance team across group entities, manage monthly and consolidated closings, cash flow, budgeting and forecasting. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the finance team in daily finance operations.
  • Oversee the monthly closing of management accounts for the group of companies and review the monthly management accounts including the analysis of variances in revenue/expenses and balance sheet items
  • Review the monthly consolidated accounts of the Group.
  • Manage the cash flow to meet the needs of all operating entities within the group of companies.
  • Responsible for annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
  • Responsible for income tax, withholding tax and GST reporting and compliance matters for the group of companies.
  • Responsible for the preparation/review of quarterly board papers and results announcements for release on the SGX-ST.
  • Responsible for the review of annual statutory financial statements prepared in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Review and submission of quarterly and annual returns of the REIT Manager to the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
  • Establish (where required) and maintain appropriate internal control policies and procedures, and good corporate governance practices.
  • Assist in the financial and tax due diligence and planning for potential new investments.
  • Assist in the preparation/review of SGX announcements and unitholders’ circular including the preparation of proforma financial effects for proposed equity fund raising exercises and proposed acquisitions and mergers.
  • Liaise with external parties such as Trustees, External and Internal Auditors, Legal and Tax Advisers and Unit Registrar for various matters.
  • Co-ordinate with other departments such as Real Estate, Capital Markets, Investor Relations and Compliance for operational matters.
  • Champion the responsible adoption of AI, automation and digital technologies while ensuring appropriate governance and controls.
  • Report to the CFO on all finance-related matters and perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by the CFO and/or CEO from time to time.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 - 15 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
  • REIT experience and/or experience in the management of overseas real estate investment is preferred

Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of AI, automation and data analytics solutions and their practical application within finance and accounting functions

Skills Required
