We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our global Finance Control team, which is responsible for ensuring financial integrity and accurate reporting to support the company's growth and stability.

Your role in the Team:

This role is crucial to ensuring the team delivers financial insights and maintains robust financial controls, directly impacting business performance. As Financial Controller, you will collaborate closely with our Finance Center of Excellence in Krakow to ensure integrity of financial information relating to the UK regulated entities, work alongside the UK Division to support business decisions, and oversee critical processes, including ensuring compliance with FCA CASS regulations. Your leadership in financial governance and reporting will be pivotal in maintaining regulatory standards and supporting our business objectives.

The role reports into the Head of Group Reporting and is supported by two team members.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the UK Financial Control team to drive continual process improvement and to maintain effective oversight of operations performed by the Finance Center of Excellence in Krakow. Perform day-to-day financial management and oversight of the systems, processes and controls over financial reporting for IG’s UK-regulated entities.

• Oversight of external financial reporting, including preparation of entity financial statements and working with external audit and assurance teams.

• Oversight of daily client money and asset segregation calculations, and review and sign off of regulatory returns. Represent the UK regulated entities at the Client Money and Asset Committee (as a member) and own the client money and asset policy for these entities.

• Collaborate with the Finance Business Partners to produce analysis and provide information to key business stakeholders. Aid FP&A with budgeting and forecasting where required.

• Collaborate with the Finance Change team to shape and define business processes, drive requirements and agree resources, acting as the key internal finance stakeholder for change projects involving the UK entities and be accountable for successful delivery.

What you’ll need for this role:

• You'll be a qualified accountant with experience in financial accounting and previous exposure to FCA CASS regulations.

• Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to dive into the details as well as see the bigger picture.

• The ability to influence, persuade and drive outcomes.

• Excellent communication skills – the ability to communicate effectively across an international range of stakeholders.
