Job Title: Financial Controller

The job
The Financial Controller has responsibility for the financial control of AVEVA Operating entities in South Korea. Core responsibilities of a Financial Controller include full ownership for the entity ledgers, accounting, treasury, tax, compliance and reporting. Reporting to Head of Finance, the Financial Controller is part of small in-house commercial finance team which is supported by a shared service center.
Key responsibilities
- Financial controllership and accounting responsibilities
Manage and interface with the shared service centre, taking full responsibility for the deliverables in accordance with the reporting timetable
Review of journals and reconciliations
Review the revenues and costs in accordance with the master chart of accounts and dimensional structure of the Group
Review of intercompany and related party transactions, ensuring all intercompany transactions are recorded and in accordance with group instructions
Analytical review of balance sheet and P&L and providing analysis as required to Group
Review of the reporting pack to be submitted in the consolidation tool
Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and review of significant accounting judgements
Keep up to date with Oracle functionality and process updates
Smooth Monthly book closing and reporting
- Reporting compliance
Ensuring compliance with the Group’s internal control framework, and enhancing those controls where necessary
Preparation for internal audit and responding to requests
External audit liaison and compliance
Preparation of the statutory accounts
- Statutory audit, internet audit

- Taxation and statutory compliance and filing
Tax computation, compliance and filing for the entities
- Treasury supporting
Manage relationships with local banks and maintain signing and online banking authorities
Submit cash flow forecasts to Group Treasury
Weekly reviews of cashflow and submit funding requests to Group Treasury as required
Arrange bank and parent company guarantees through Group Treasury
- Revenue
Work closely with the revenue controller to understand revenues booked in the local ledger
Ensure adequate processes are in place to review the accuracy and completeness of revenue

Essential requirements
Must have accounting related bachelor's degree
At least 10 years in accounting and Finance experiences including 5 years in statutory audit and tax filing required
Must have K-GAAP financial statements experiences
Must have accounting ERP experiences in SAP/Oracle,
IT industry in MNCs experiences preferred
Good communication with English in both written and verbal
Excel, Pivot, Power BI skillful users preferred
