Who you'll work with:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Control Team Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the operations of our Alternative, US Retail and Lux funds. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Financial Control Department is responsible for reconciling all transfer agency related bank accounts, reconciling distributions to shareholder accounts and handling all associated money movements including weekly commissions and 12B-1 payments. Other duties also include collecting and reporting data that is used for the Fund’s Financials. In addition, the Financial Control department also acts as liaison to Global Fund Admin, Broker Dealer Accounting, and the custodial banks.
The Financial Control Team Leader is a key role for our firm performing reconciliation of all settled financial activity within the Transfer Agent (TA). This includes the reconciliation of incoming subscription orders as well as outgoing redemption proceeds. The position also requires reconciling distributions specific to dividends, commissions, and service fees for bank accounts held at State Street Bank and Bank of America while aiding in the protection of the firm from both internal and external fraud.

Ensure that the processing and reconciliation of mutual funds, Collective Investment Trusts, and Alternative Fund transactions and their corresponding money movements are completed accordingly

Production of management statistical spreadsheets and TA reports to ensure proper and accurate reporting of the Fund’s financial statements

Ongoing review of operational activities
What you'll do:

Play crucial role in guiding and managing a team to achieve its goals

Developing plans and schedules to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and on time. This includes resource allocation and task delegation

Providing regular updates and reports to higher management on the team’s progress, challenges, and achievements

Promoting teamwork and collaboration among team members, and organizing team-building activities to strengthen relationships and improve team dynamics

Monitor and manage the operational processes for Alternative investments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

Perform daily reconciliation of transactions, positions, and cash balances across various Short Term and Alternative investment accounts

Maintain and update internal databases and systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy

Submit/Release daily wires via the custodian bank applications

Reviews as-of transactions report

Reduces the liabilities of the Firm by closing open items within 10 days

Contacts internal/external processing units to resolve trade discrepancies

Complies reports and prepares payments to Omnibus dealers for 12B-1 fees

Participates in various monthly financial reporting processes

Communicates with Global Fund Admin, Broker/Dealer Accounting, Portfolio Management and custodian banks to relate net activity to the funds and necessary money movement

Perform ancillary tasks related to bank account activity

Support other functions within the Financial Control Department as business needs arise and availability of the individual permits
What we're looking for:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Current experience working with ABIS TA Operations

Strong leadership skills

Proficient in MS Office Excel and Access

Organized, thorough, and conscientious. Establishes priorities and follows through on tasks to completion.
