The Financial Analyst, FP&A is a finance generalist position responsible for providing broad-based support across Corporate FP&A, Commercial Finance, and Operations Finance. This role partners with global business stakeholders to support planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision support, while developing financial presentations and analyses for key stakeholders and executive leadership. The position will also provide meaningful support for Danaher Business System implementation, Danaher Kaizen initiatives, and integration-related finance activities across the organization.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesPartner across Corporate FP&A, Commercial Finance, and Operations Finance to provide analytical decision support and performance analysis.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and reporting processes.
Build financial presentations and supporting materials for key stakeholders, senior management, and executive leadership.
Perform financial analysis on projects, initiatives, and business cases to support decision making.
Prepare variance analysis, including identification of trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
Support annual operating plan, budget, and long-range planning activities across assigned areas.
Collaborate with global business partners to evaluate financial performance and support operational and strategic initiatives.
Support Danaher Business System implementation efforts through financial analysis, key performance metric tracking, and evaluation of operational and financial impact.
Provide finance support for Danaher Kaizen initiatives, including baseline analysis, opportunity assessment, progress monitoring, and measurement of realized results.
Contribute to integration-related finance activities, including reporting, project analysis, and cross-functional coordination in support of key organizational initiatives.
Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models, reporting packages, and management dashboards.
Identify opportunities for improved reporting, better insights, and more efficient financial processes.
Perform other duties or special projects as requested.
1–3 years of related finance, FP&A, accounting, or analytical experience.
Strong PowerPoint presentation / storytelling abilities
Understanding of core accounting and finance concepts.
Strong Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
Experience preparing financial reports, presentations, and business analyses.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders across functions and levels.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and a strong sense of urgency.
Experience working with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
Experience supporting multiple business functions in a matrixed environment is preferred.
EducationBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field is required.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 10% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance. Reporting Relationship
This position will initially report to the SVP of FP&A and Investor Relations and will support key projects across Operations Finance, Corporate FP&A, and Commercial Finance, as business needs require. As the role evolves and responsibilities become more specialized, the reporting relationship is planned to transition to another leader within the finance organization.
