About the Position:
Under the direction of the VP, Finance, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting accurate financial reporting and analysis related to residuals processes. The Financial Analyst will be involved in financial analysis and data management. This position conducts in-depth financial analysis related to residual activities, identify and interpret trends, variances and anomalies in residual data and provide insights and recommendations to support the steady growth of the department.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of internal and partner residual structures and incentive plans.
- Run calculations, validate payout accuracy, and analyze the financial impact of residual models.
- Prepare reporting packages summarizing performance and payout insights.
- Build and maintain financial models related to payment volume trends, processor fees, partner revenue shares, and transaction economics.
- Assist with forecasting cycles by preparing data sets, validating assumptions, and updating models in Excel or Python.
- Support scenario modeling for new pricing structures, routing strategies, or partner contracts.
- Use SQL, Python, Excel, and analytics tools to extract, clean, and analyze transaction and financial data.
- Identify trends in authorization rates, processor fees, chargebacks, and unit economics.
- Automate routine reports and analysis using SQL, Python, or Excel optimizations.
- Document processes, analytical methodologies, and reporting logic to promote repeatability and scalability.
- Support ad hoc deep‑dive analyses and generate data‑backed recommendations for cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Supporting specialized projects on an as-needed basis as directed by Executive team
- Contribute to the development of company-wide training programs on risk awareness and best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of analytical or modeling experience preferred (data science, or finance).
- Experience analyzing large datasets, validating models, and performing statistical or mathematical analysis.
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, and familiarity with Power BI.
- Ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely.
- Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving and logical reasoning skills.
- Possesses strong analytical and research skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously while producing a high output of quality work.
- Possesses a high degree of trustworthiness and ethical behavior of an individual with consideration for the knowledge one has of the impact and consequences when making a decision or taking action.
- Demonstrates a level of credibility and concern that one be perceived as responsible, reliable, and trustworthy.

Preferred:
- Master’s degree in mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field.
- Experience in Fintech industry.
