About the role and the team:Join eBay’s Germany Finance team and help drive the financial performance of our Marketplaces business. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional business partners, work with diverse data sources, and deliver actionable insights that support both operational execution and long-term strategic decisions.
You will play a key role in financial planning, performance tracking, and ad-hoc analysis in a fast-paced, diverse environment. Through ownership of analyses and projects, you will develop a deep understanding of the business and contribute directly to decisions that help shape eBay’s growth in Germany.
- Own Month end close activities, Managing the budget & Forecast for the P&L of DE and European Central Markets and provide variance analysis.
- Build and maintain financial models especially for Trading & Monetization to support business & performance decisions.
- Partner with business functions and cross-functional teams to optimize financial performance.
- Prepare executive-ready financial narratives and presentations.
- Implement operational enhancements to improve efficiency via process optimization & leveraging AI.
- 2–3 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate finance, or Controllership.
- Fluent in English and German
- Experience in navigating across a matrixed organization.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Comfort using generative AI tools to assist with analysis and presentation development, demonstrating keen judgment to validate outputs.
- A process-improvement mentality with the ability to identify manual workflows and replace them with scalable, well-controlled solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Powerpoint) and Google Workspace
- High attention to detail, sound financial judgment, and understanding of data quality, governance
