Join our dynamic finance team as a Financial Analyst, where you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the standard costing system for our Performance Tapes operations. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be instrumental in driving financial accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As a Financial Analyst, you will be critical in ensuring the financial health and efficiency of our Performance Tapes operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
Inventory Management and Costing:
Oversee the standard costing system to ensure accurate inventory valuation and timely updates.
Manage inventory control processes, such as cycle counts, variance analysis, and reconciliation.
Analyze and report on inventory adjustments and operational scrap to identify cost reduction opportunities.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Lead the month-end and quarter-end closing processes for manufacturing and inventory, collaborating closely with supply chain and operations.
Prepare and present detailed financial reports and analyses to provide insights into key performance indicators and trends.
Develop and maintain financial forecasts and models that support business planning and decision-making.
Business Partnering and Process Improvement:
Partner with R&D, Marketing, and Operations to assess the financial impact of new product development and costing optimizations.
Drive digitization and process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial processes.
Provide financial support and analysis for ad hoc business unit projects and address issues.
Compliance and Audits:
Ensure compliance with internal controls and support internal and external audits, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience as a Financial Analyst in a manufacturing environment, with a strong foundation in cost accounting.
Advanced Excel skills, with proficiency in complex formulas, pivot tables, data visualization, and VBA or Power Query.
Experience with ERP systems (specify the system if applicable).
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to confidently challenge assumptions, articulate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders, and influence decision-making.
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills, with a proactive and independent approach.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.
Fluency in Dutch and English at a business professional level is required.
Digital acumen (AI, digitization projects) is a plus.
