In this role, you will provide accurate and timely results along with forecast modeling to senior management ensuring Guardian makes sound financial decisions. The Financial Analyst is responsible for the modeling and analysis of various revenue and workforce metrics which are shared with senior leaders as support for the success of the business. This Analyst provides business leaders with management reports and supporting analysis to ensure their understanding of the key performance indicators of Group Insurance business, which helps improve the way they operate and align with the Group Insurance strategic priorities.
You will:

Demonstrate an understanding of business operations and how they translate to the financial documents.

Assist in modeling multi-year driver-based revenue forecast to predict the future revenues and workforce requirements of the company. This includes the collection, consolidation, and development of model assumptions.

Collaborate with cross functional teams in finance to communicate updated forecast, deadlines, and budget scenarios.

Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis to help facilitate better business decisions.

Analyzes P&L, trends and tracks results against prior year, plan, and most recent forecast.

Liaison with business partners to obtain deep business understanding of variances and trends seen in business results.

Prepare and present to multiple levels of leadership, monthly and Ad-Hoc financial reports including analysis of forecast, key performance indicators and strategic initiatives.

Create financial analysis packages that provide visibility and insights into the business that enhance the value for executives and corporate finance teams.

Drive efficiencies by effectively analyzing results and communicating these results to leadership.

Simplify finance and business metrics to make comprehension easier and drives leaders to make quicker, better decisions.

Generate ideas, solutions and drive implementation for process improvement and automation.
You have:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field, MBA a plus or equivalent work experience.

3 plus years of financial analysis, planning, and modeling experience.

Understanding of financial strategies, techniques, and the links between strategic and financial planning.

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, look-ups, etc.) and PowerPoint.

Experience with Oracle Cloud, Hyperion Smart View, Tableau, and Alteryx is a plus.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Salary Range$80,940.00 - $132,975.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
