Purpose of the Job:

· To prepare a wide variety of financial and business analyses for financial, general management and manufacturing operations. The analyses must include assessments, observations, recommendations and summaries to assist management in taking appropriate actions.

· To direct, coordinate, prepare and consolidate monthly forecasts, annual plans and strategic plans for Engineered Products, Industrial Products and Corporate.

 

Specific Job Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain financial models for the consolidation of the manufacturing monthly forecasts, annual financial plans and strategic plans.

· Analyzes, interprets and makes recommendations with regard to operating results compared to forecasts, financial plans and budgets.

· Schedule and coordinate the manufacturing forecasting process. (Manufacturing expenses, absorption and variances).

· Direct and coordinate the forecast and planning processes to ensure schedule due dates are achieved.

· Develops financial models for use in the analysis process.

· Reconcile and report weekly / monthly hours and manpower status to manufacturing management.

· Advise manufacturing management of actual expenses and forecasts.

· Develop annual burden rates.

· Analyze fixed burden manufacturing expenses used in the make vs buy decisions

· Complete Corporate Accounting duties including but not limited to; monthly closing activities, journal entries, reconciling accounts to general ledger, preparation of analytical studies for external auditors.

· Complete Capital Expenditure Administrator duties such as: the coordinate and monitor Cap Ex requests, review and recommendation of all Appropriation Request Authorization (ARA),
Conduct quarterly (or as required) Capital Steering Committee meetings.

· Administer Warranty Accounting functions.

 

Background and Experience:

· Educational background should include an undergraduate degree in accounting or finance. MBA is desirable.

· Minimum of five years professional work experience in a manufacturing setting and with cost accounting.

· Must be familiar with accounting principles as applied to profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and capital expenditure evaluations.

· Well-developed analytical skills and communicative ability are essential. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Hyperion, Oracle and Kronos.

· Candidates with FP&A experience strongly preferred.
