What You’ll Do

70% - Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

  • Assist with the monthly revenue close, helping to ensure accurate results are delivered on time for reporting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Work closely with internal Accounting team during the monthly close process to ensure proper accruals and deferrals are recorded.
  • Prepare and post all monthly billing and revenue journal entries including the preparation of all Balance Sheet and Income Statement reconciliations.
  • Review Financial Reporting System data to ensure accuracy.
  • Complete monthly reports for distribution to Executive Leadership.
  • Support the monthly forecast process by reviewing and loading data into the Financial Reporting System.

20% - Other

  • Work closely with internal accounting team to provide support documentation and commentary for annual external audit requests.
  • Maintain and organize client contract files.
  • Assist in automating standard processes and reporting to reduce reporting burden and increase meaningful/value added analyses.

10% - Ad-hoc Analysis or Special Projects

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting
  • 1+ relevant years of accounting/finance experience, preferably with some experience in a transaction support or corporate finance role
  • Proficiency in Excel is a must
  • Knowledge of accounting fundamentals and US GAAP is a must
  • Experience with Great Plains or similar G/L systems a plus
  • Interest in the media industry is a strong plus, though prior experience is not a necessity

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

  • CPA or equivalent highly favorable, but not required

Salary Range

$62,400.00 - $80,000.00

A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity.
