- Support the monthly consolidated close process by performing tasks such as preparing and posting monthly journal entries, collecting, reviewing, and consolidating financial reports from individual Linamar entities.
- Review and supervise the work of junior staff.
- Perform and review validation checks to ensure that data being provided by individual entities is complete and accurate.
- Support internal and external financial reporting through drafting and review of a variety of standard and ad-hoc reports.
- A degree in accounting, business, commerce, or a related discipline is required.
- CPA designation, or significant progress in the CPA certification process, is required.
- Minimum of two to three years of related financial experience.
- Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP reporting principles.
- Strong communication skills with a willingness to collaborate with colleagues across departments and across the globe.
- Leadership attitude with the ability to teach and supervise the work of junior staff members.
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to perform and explain detailed analysis to leaders and decision-makers in the company.
- Able to identify and implement opportunities for innovation and enhance process efficiency.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
- Knowledge of OneStream and IFS systems is a significant asset.
