The analyst will handle the month-end close process and ensure balance sheet integrity. They will maintain income statement accuracy and assist with Canada sales tax compliance and payroll accounting. This includes ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of tax and payroll transactions in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies. The position partners cross-functionally to deliver timely and accurate financial information, respond to partners, and support compliance with internal controls and accounting standards (IFRS).
The successful candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a proactive sense of ownership in a multifaceted environment.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $72,375 - $106,150 CAD at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:This is what you will do in this role:
- Complete month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Prepare, review, and file Canadian sales tax returns (GST/HST/PST), ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and timely remittance
- Manage and support payroll-related accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and coordination with payroll providers
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including internal management reports and supporting schedules
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with policies and procedures; maintain vital working papers related to journal entries and reconciliations
- Support accounting policies/guidelines and process documentation
- Support external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual IFRS audit
- Document technical accounting activities to ensure compliance with company policy (IFRS)
- Engage in projects and continuous improvement initiatives as needed
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred)
- At least 2-5 years of experience in related field, demonstrating successful execution of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above
- ERP and/or HRIS system experience with SAP and ADP experience preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills and the ability to quickly adapt to other specialized software application
- Proven analytical and deductive reasoning skills
- Strong accounting skills
- Ability to balance changing demands with a strong sense of urgency and prioritization
- Strong communication skills and executive presence
