We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team. This role supports the company’s financial planning, forecasting, and reporting activities by providing timely analysis and meaningful financial insights. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to partner with business leaders to improve financial performance and support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Support the monthly rolling forecast process for operating expenses, capital expenditures, and headcount by updating assumptions and maintaining financial models.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process by partnering with cross-functional leaders in Operations, Sales, and Marketing by validating financial data, and consolidating budget submissions.
- Maintain and enhance forecasting models to improve reporting accuracy and planning efficiency.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and scenario models to support business initiatives and operational decisions.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Perform monthly variance analysis by comparing actual results to budget and forecast, identifying key drivers and explaining business impacts.
- Prepare recurring financial reports, dashboards, and presentation materials for finance leadership and business partners.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the business.
- Analyze operating expenses and departmental spending to support cost management initiatives.
Business Partnership
- Partner with business leaders to understand operational performance and provide financial support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with the Accounting team during month-end close process to ensure financial results are complete, accurate, and reflected appropriately in forecasts.
- Respond to financial inquiries from business partners and management by providing timely, accurate analysis.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes through automation and standardization.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of reporting tools, dashboards, and planning templates.
- Help document financial processes and maintain planning assumptions to support consistency and internal controls.
- Participate in finance system enhancements, reporting improvements, and other continuous initiatives.
Required Education & Experience
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, accounting, or financial consulting.
Technical Competencies
- Excel Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) and EPM tools (Anaplan, NSPB)
- Data Analytics: Experience using BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) or querying data using SQL is a strong plus.
Soft Skills
- Communication: Ability to distill complex financial concepts into simple, universal language for non-finance stakeholders.
- Attention to detail: High level of accuracy when managing large datasets and tight close timelines.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive mindset with a proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
