Job Description Summary

The position is focused on support to the Financial Planning & Analysis manager and work on projects related to process and training for plant operations finance, including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting, internal controls, and report outs. The position also supports compliance with the policies and procedures for the financial activities of the organization, including forecasts, budget development, and management, analyzing and interpreting financial data, and recommending changes to improve financial performance. The successful candidate will be supporting areas of risk for the organization and acting as a resource regarding such matters. Prepares materials for presentation to DAUCH executive leadership, Board of Directors, and other key partner meetings.

Job Description:

  • Ensures adherence to standards, budgets, and departmental goals/operational objectives, based on company policies and available resources.
  • Establishes an environment to empower others and to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Meets finance operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews, including resolving problems, and identifying system improvements.
  • Meets finance financial standards supporting annual budget development, monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Adheres to the organization's financial practices by monitoring the application of accounting policies and procedures and conducting audits.
  • Improves the organization's financial status by analyzing variances and recommending action.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports by collecting, analyzing, consolidating, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Protects organization value by keeping information confidential, cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

  • Completed Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience, preferably within automotive or manufacturing industry.
