The successful candidate will combine financial analysis, business acumen, organization, and concise communication to help leaders evaluate opportunities, understand performance drivers, and make informed strategic choices. The analyst will collaborate with Finance, Impact Finance business leaders, and other partners to improve the consistency, transparency, and quality of strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a strategic conversation calendar that establishes a consistent cadence for leadership discussions, initiative reviews, decision points, and follow-up actions.

  • Coordinate inputs, timelines, and stakeholders so strategic topics are addressed at the appropriate time and supported by complete, accurate information.

  • Prepare discussion materials, executive summaries, presentations, briefing notes, and data-driven narratives that clearly connect financial results and operational facts to business implications.

  • Build and maintain a standardized business case template and supporting process for evaluating strategic initiatives.

  • Track approved business cases against actual results, forecasts, milestones, and original assumptions; identify variances, risks, opportunities, and required actions.

  • Maintain process documentation, model governance, version control, and quality checks to support transparency and repeatability.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, planning, and analytical processes through Excel, visualization tools, automation, and responsible use of AI.

  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects as business priorities evolve.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Typically three or more years of related experience in financial analysis, planning, accounting, business analytics, or a comparable analytical role.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Working knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, planning, profitability analysis, and general accounting principles.

  • Ability to build and maintain financial models that incorporate revenue, expense, timing, investment, and profitability assumptions.

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is beneficial.

  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, investigate variances, and resolve data exceptions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex information and create clear, concise materials for leadership.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage recurring deliverables, multiple stakeholders, and changing priorities.

  • Curiosity, initiative, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to working across teams.

What Success Looks Like

  • Leadership has a reliable calendar and well-prepared materials for strategic conversations and decisions.

  • Business cases are evaluated consistently using transparent assumptions and comparable financial measures.

  • Short- and long-term revenue, expense, and profitability expectations are visible, monitored, and updated as facts change.

  • Actual performance and initiative progress are clearly connected to original business case commitments.

  • Financial analysis is accurate, timely, practical, and translated into actionable insights.
