Financial Analyst – Customer Dedicated

Environment: Hybrid (after first 6 months)

This position is full-time and onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

How You Make a Difference Everyday:
Financial & Operational Analysis
- Support recurring financial and operational reporting for the enterprise customer and Redwood leadership.
- Analyze transportation spend, premium freight, carrier costs, accessorials, and operational trends across locations, carriers, and modes.
- Identify and explain cost variances and operational drivers impacting transportation performance.
- Support budget, forecast, accrual, and variance analysis, including actual transportation spend versus customer budget and forecast.
Customer & Finance Stakeholder Support
- Support customer finance and accounting stakeholders with accrual support, transportation cost analysis, and plant, carrier, and shipment-level financial reporting and visibility.
- Support reconciliation and investigation of invoice, accrual, routing, and rating discrepancies impacting operations, reporting, or freight audit processes.
- Support root-cause analysis and comparison of customer transportation spend and performance trends versus market conditions.
- Respond to reporting requests, financial questions, and operational cost inquiries from both customer and Redwood leadership teams.
- Support month-end reporting, business reviews, and recurring operational and financial review meetings with customer stakeholders.
Freight Audit & TMS Contract Management
- Support reporting and data requirements tied to the customer’s third-party freight audit provider.
- Assist with carrier setup, contract updates, rate validation, and routing guide quality checks.
- Support maintenance of customer-owned carrier contracts, routing guides, and rating structures within the TMS.
- Support reconciliation and investigation of invoice, accrual, routing, and rating discrepancies impacting operations, reporting, or freight audit processes.
- Support root-cause analysis and comparison of customer transportation spend and performance trends versus market conditions.
Reporting & Process Improvement
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reporting quality, data accuracy, financial process efficiency, and account performance.
What We’re Looking For
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish. Strong communication skills both orally and written
- 2+ years of business experience in a bi-lingual environment in financial analysis, reporting, transportation operations, or supply chain support, preferably within transportation, logistics, 3PL, or freight audit environments.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, or related field.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Excel skills required.
- Experience with carrier contracts, routing guides, transportation rating, or TMS configuration preferred.
