About the team and position

We are looking for a Financial Analyst, Business Applications to join our Tech Services Team. This role will ensure the timely delivery of quality functional & technical support service to the business. Working closely with Finance, Procurement and other teams, this role requires both knowledge of the software or hardware systems being supported and effective personnel management skills with a high degree of emphasis on providing an exceptional end-user experience.

What you’ll be doing

  • Consult with business unit management and personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, and problems.
  • Create requirements document, functional specification documents, unit and integrated test scenario documents and other relevant artifacts necessary for implementation of IT solutions.
  • Design and configure comprehensive solutions within Oracle cloud Financial modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Management, Projects, and Fixed Assets (FA), to meet specific business requirements. Ensure these solutions align with organizational goals and enhance overall financial operations.
  • Design and develop BI & OTBI reports to ensure reuse and maintainability.
  • Support business team in SmartView/Essbase reporting.
  • Design and develop tailored solutions focused on integrations and automations within Oracle Financial modules and third-party applications. This involves creating custom workflows and interfaces that seamlessly connect Oracle cloud Financial modules with other systems, enhancing data flow and operational efficiency
  • Assist technical team in development of solutions in line with business requirements.
  • Coordinating the application release updates, testing and deployment.
  • Support technical teams in reviewing/ fixing issues related to custom integrations.
  • Resolving product issues by opening, updating, and escalating service tickets with product vendors.
  • Create and update business process documents as it relates to financial processes such as month end closing.
  • Providing production support on core Oracle financials and manufacturing modules, month end processing, custom processes using service management tools and procedures.
  • Create or update end user training documents/guides and provide training to end users on various aspects of applications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Finance or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of practical IT experience in Oracle cloud financial processes, covering essential modules like General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Management, Projects, and Fixed Assets (FA). This background includes proficiency in best practices, configuration, and optimization techniques to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in requirements gathering, integration design, testing, and deployment of Oracle Cloud Financial platform.
  • Worked on at least two end to end Oracle cloud financials implementation projects.
  • Experience in SQL/PLSQL, SOAP/REST Web Services, BI Publisher.
  • Working knowledge on Oracle Integration Cloud or other integration tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills - able to bring forward a vision or opinion
  • Comfortable with leading multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize decisions and tasks effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
