POSITION SUMMARY

This role will own all financial aspects of Accredo’s relationship with our largest clients. This includes financial planning and analysis, as well as strategic engagement alongside our account management and legal teams, alongside direct external client-facing responsibilities. Key measures of accountability will include accurate financial forecasting and clear explanations of deviations from expectation in financial results. They also include medium- and long-term financial outcomes for these clients driven by supporting and driving the improvement and optimization of contract terms alongside the account management teams. A competitive candidate will be comfortable owning and presenting financial exhibits to Evernorth and Cigna leadership as well as internal and external stakeholders, and will effectively and nimbly adjust communication strategies and content across audiences as appropriate. This role has two direct reports as well as additional dotted-line managerial responsibilities, and is responsible for the successful career development and support of those team members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Compile quarterly forecasts and annual budgets

  • Forecast drug level revenue/cost/discount expectations

  • Work closely with the Accredo expense team to understand client-driven expenses and work to maximize expense efficiency within the relationship

  • Report variances against forecasts and understanding the detailed drivers behind them

  • Interface with a broad spectrum of Accredo leadership, the Accredo legal team, external client representatives, and all other areas of the Accredo organization

  • Be the subject matter expert on all things Centene/Prime/DoD/etc, including the details of the contracted agreements and Accredo’s financial and reporting obligations to clients

  • Perform monthly close functions including journal entries, financial reporting, and variance analysis

  • Utilize operational metrics and trend analysis, provide guidance to business leaders on finance risks, opportunities and recommendations

  • Report and present findings/analysis to senior leaders on a regular basis

  • Guide and influence external client business partners

  • Other ad-hoc projects/requests as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field strongly preferred or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years relevant professional experience

  • Financial Planning and Analysis experience strongly preferred

  • People management experience preferred

  • Hyperion Essbase/SmartView experience strongly preferred; must be highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to present complex information in a way that is easy to understand

  • Ability to work with a wide range of individuals and have a service oriented approach



If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 120,400 - 200,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
