The Financial Aid COD Specialist is responsible for the receipt of Federal and State grant disbursements and refunds. This person must distinguish between students who are eligible for funding and those who are not, to stay in compliance with federal regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and process FSEOG batches, rejects and refunds
  • Create and process State grant batches, rejects and refunds
  • Create and process Institutional Scholarship batches
  • Perform reconciliation of state and federal grants
  • Special projects and reporting
  • Import SAIG responses
  • COD manual entries
  • Maintain appropriate sections of the Training Manual
  • Cross-train and back up all other Funds Team responsibilities


Other Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to policies and procedures of Full Sail University
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of company and personnel information
  • Adhere to company attendance standards
  • Performs other duties, as assigned

  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Detail oriented; accuracy of utmost importance
  • Ability to work independently and manage timelines in a deadline driven environment
  • COD and OSFA experience, a plus


Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years of financial aid experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • None


Computer/Equipment Skills:

  • Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook


Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:
Work is performed in an office environment. The employee must be able to access, input and retrieve information from the computer system. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds. Must be able to work normal business hours 8:30 to 5:30; some overtime and weekends may be required.
