Salary range: $4,333 - $25,000+ per month depending on GDC production
Job Description
STCU is seeking a Financial Advisor to provide retirement and investment services in the Spokane, Washington area and is based at our Moran Prairie Branch on Spokane's beautiful South Hill. This position is responsible to help employees, members, and new clients by assessing their financial goals, needs, and objectives while providing them with exceptional personalized service and investment products. In this position, you'll have the opportunity to use your sales talents and ability to build rapport as you work with our members to help them identify their financial needs and goals.
You'll be an employee of STCU and a dual employee/agent of CUSO Brokerage Services, Inc. (CFS) and/or Members Trust Company (MTC). Securities industry licenses are held by CFS and MTC.
Core Job Requirements/Outcomes
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships based on trust and respect for clients, employees, and members by meeting regularly with clients, conducting branch trainings/coaching, maintaining consistent office hours at designated branches and maintaining branch and partner line relationships.
- Identify and evaluate member and employee needs for financial services by assessing the objectives and goals of the individual and developing an investment strategy to for each individual reviewed and evaluated on a regular basis.
- Follow through on the goals and expectations set forth by the Program Manager by consistently achieving the production, sales and service goals.
Other Essential Functions
- Represent STCU and CUSO Financial Services (CFS), L.P. appropriately at all times according to NCUA guidelines in relationships with major clients, industry organizations, regulatory bodies, and other key outside parties.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
Certifications: FINRA Series 7, 63 required. FINRA Series 65 or 66 preferred. State life, accident, health and insurance licenses required. Certified financial planner designation is preferred. Must have a clean U-4. Required to disclose any criminal history with CUSO Financial Services, LP.
Job Experience: Minimum of three years licensed registered representative sales experience required or proven ability in a related position at STCU. Previous experience working in a credit union environment is preferred.
Software Skills: Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 10 pounds with accommodations.
Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Travel Demands: Travel to branches within your region is required on a weekly basis.
