The Team
You will be part of the Financial Administration team, reporting directly to the Head of Accounting and Financial Administration. The role operates without direct reports but works closely with internal stakeholders, including verifiers, management, auditors, and other departments to ensure accurate and compliant financial processes.
Roles and Responsibilities
The role ensures that the bank’s accounting records remain fully compliant with relevant regulations and internal accounting policies. It supports the delivery of accurate, timely, and transparent financial information to local management, auditors, and external authorities. A key focus of the position is the effective execution and control of processes related to invoices and cost management.
Coordinate the end-to-end incoming invoice process, including registration, approval collection, system processing, and related general ledger entries
Manage invoiced payments via the IBP system and handle related correspondence (complaints, confirmations)
Maintain supplier master data
Process and manage employee expense settlements, including supporting system testing and improvements
Record and reconcile corporate card statements
Administer and account for fixed assets
Prepare and submit the daily FX position report
Perform regular checks and controls (cost codes, reconciliations, data flow checks) and share reports with stakeholders and audit teams
Post daily bank statements and perform monthly account reconciliations
Execute monthly closing activities and prepare supporting documentation (proofs)
Support projects, including system developments, testing, and updates to procedures and policies
Contribute to interim and year-end audits
Ensure proper filing and archiving of documentation
Train and support trainees within Financial Administration
Complete all assigned and backup tasks in line with deadlines defined in the Task Monitoring Tool
Undertake additional tasks as required by the line manager
How to Succeed
Experience & Qualifications
Certified accountant qualification
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (College or University level)
1–2 years’ experience in accounting or finance within a financial institution or multinational corporate
Strong knowledge of accounting and tax regulations
Familiarity with ING policies, procedures, and compliance standards
Proficiency in MS Office and accounting systems (e.g., Exact Globe)
Intermediate level of written and spoken English
