Your Purpose
As a Financial Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the full financial function–ranging from accounting, P&L reporting and risk oversight– for Bitso’s trading desk entities.
In terms of knowledge, the candidate is expected to have a good understanding of accounting as well as investment operations, particularly market making, OTC and derivatives trading (futures and options). Automation skills are a big plus. Prior experience with cryptocurrencies is not a prerequisite; however, an understanding of staking, and different cryptocurrencies is beneficial.

Who You Are
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Having passed CFA exams is a plus.
- Experience: 4+ years in finance, ideally at a trading firm, hedge fund, brokerage.
- Solid understanding of financial derivatives (futures and options)
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in Excel
- Nice to have:
- Programming skills in Python & SQL
- Hands-on experience in crypto markets
What You Will Do
- End-to-end Accounting: Meticulously managing the accounting processes for the entity activities, while ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting standards.
- Oversee the firm’s financial operations, including budgeting, P&L reporting, forecasting, and stakeholders reporting.
- Collaborate with external auditors and advisors to maintain accurate financial records and comply with accounting standards.
- Enhancing and automating operational tasks (such as reconciliations and the preparation of journal vouchers). An automation mindset is critical for success in the role.
- Investment Valuations: The entity is involved in fiat and crypto investments, which requires the individual to oversee them and translate such investments into the financial statements (through the Fair Value accounting methodology).
- Present financial and risk updates to senior leadership and investors.
