We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team!

This is a key position responsible for providing a comprehensive financial accounting service to Copeland Limited and Copeland Climate Technologies Limited.

The successful candidate will play a central role in preparing budgets, analyzing financial performance, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, and supporting broader business initiatives and system improvements.

This role is based on-site in Cookstown, Northern Ireland, with a fixed shift work model.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: 

  • Assisting in the preparation of the Annual Budget.
  • The coordination and production of company month end reports and analyzing results against budget, to strict reporting deadlines.
  • Monthly Cashflow forecasting.
  • The completion and filing of statutory returns (VAT, P11ds, Corporation Tax).
  • Drafting of annual financial statements and coordinating the annual external auditing process.
  • Liaising with internal auditors, internal SOX compliance and Internal Tax teams.
  • Support the management of the purchase ledger and Finance Administrators.
  • Support Global Business Systems projects which impact on the business e.g. implementation of new process for 3-way matching of purchase invoices.
  • Supporting ad-hoc business requirement from the finance department.
  • Understand and adhere to all financial and accounting regulations and legislation including Corporate Policies and Procedures.

For This Role You Will Need:

  • 2-3 years of proven experience in a financial accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory reporting requirements.
  • A recognized accounting qualification: CIMA, ACA or ACCA.
  • Experience using an integrated accounting system.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to summarize financial information for non-financial stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience using Oracle.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or multinational environment.
