We are looking for a Sales Specialist to join ABB in a home-based role for Electrification, Smart Buildings Northern Ireland business. 

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

Your Role and Responsibilities 

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. 
 
- The work model for the role is: remote

 

  • Selling products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for the assigned divisions 

  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand their needs, promoting their understanding of ABB’s complete product/systems/ services offering, and aligning with them to provide a solution 

  • Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process 

  • Preparing sales plans using ABB authorized tools 

  • Performing regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s), in case of any potential order shortfalls 

  • Creating added value for the customer and ABB and ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals, by using effective sales techniques 

  • Communicating to the customers about the details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions, in line with ABB’s offering and strategy 

  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and communicating value proposition to customers 

  • Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market 

  • Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supporting cash collection and project management activities, when needed 

  • Ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers are in place, including prices and trading conditions 

  • Driving application of standardized marketing & sales processes and tools (Salesforce, account plans, etc.) for the account 

 

 

Qualifications for the Role 

 

  • Proven experience in portfolio management, business strategy, and go-to-market execution. 

  • Strong commercial and market insight, including market intelligence and competitive analysis. 

  • Demonstrated success in driving customer experience, adoption, and long-term customer success. 

  • Solid understanding of pricing strategy, budget ownership, and delivery against performance targets. 

  • Strong account management and business development capability, driving sustainable revenue growth. 

  • Experience in sales enablement, general sales practices, and solution/application sales engineering. 

  • Proven ability to work with channel partners and indirect sales models. 

  • Sound knowledge of contract management, risk management, and regulatory/legal compliance.
