Reporting line: The role reports to the Head of Finance, North Asia excluding Japan.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and post accounting journals, maintain accurate accounting records and ensure transactions are processed in a timely manner.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities across multiple legal entities.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances and follow up on outstanding items.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial data across finance systems.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and coordinate supporting information for external audits.
• Support regulatory reporting requirements.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies and established finance procedures.
• Assist with expense claims and purchase order (PO) process. Monitor operating expenses and assist in budget management.
• Assist with process improvements, system enhancements, reporting automation and finance transformation projects to improve operational efficiency.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers on day-to-day finance, operational and reporting matters.
• Perform other ad hoc finance, reporting and operational duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (HKICPA, ACCA, AICPA or equivalent) is preferred.
• Big 4 experience is a plus.
• 2-3 years' experience in external audit, financial accounting or financial control, preferably gained within fund houses, PE/VC or other asset management businesses.
• Good understanding of IFRS/HKFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.
