As a Financial Accountant (d/f/m) your responsibilities will include:
- oversee day-to-day accounting operations by utilising AI functionalities, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations
- drive further automation within the finance department especially in our AP/AR cycles, to ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections
- prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- coordinate the financial reporting of subsidiaries and perform consolidation processes
- analyze financial data and provide insights to management on performance and financial health
- maintain and improve accounting policies, processes, and internal controls
- ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and statutory requirements
What you will need to succeed in this role:
- a bachelor's or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, or in Business Administration with a corresponding focus
- at least two years of working experience in a Big4 audit firm
- very good knowledge of accounting principles (HGB & IFRS or US-GAAP) and financial statements
- continuous improvement and development mindset – always looking for ways to enhance processes and efficiency, and a never-stop-growing mentality
- ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems
- excellent written and verbal communication skills (in German & English) to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- strong analytical skills and ability to analyze large sets of data
high sense of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
Skills Required
