Europcar Australia has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Financial Accountant to join our Finance team full-time at our Tullamarine, Victoria office.
In this dynamic role, you’ll work closely with the Finance Manager to support the successful completion of month-end processes, ensure internal and external compliance requirements are met, and keep the daily operations of the Finance team running smoothly.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
Assist with month-end processes, including P&L reviews and variance analysis
Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and monthly reporting packs
Deliver accurate reports to stakeholders and provide insights where needed
Partner with managers and senior leaders across the business to support decision-making
Contribute to budgets, forecasts, audits, and compliance activities
Support tax compliance for Australia and New Zealand
Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls
Undertake special projects as directed by the Finance Manager or Financial Controller
To be considered for this position you should possess:
Minimum four (4) years’ experience within a finance environment or similar role
Experience working with a finance management system or similar
CA/CPA qualification (or working towards)
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Knowledge of Sun Systems or Oracle accounting package would be advantageous
Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Effective communication skills, both written (general correspondence and report writing) and oral
Exceptional attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
Able to meet deadlines and manage your own workload
