Purpose Statement:

This role has a broad financial accounting remit with the opportunity to get involved in the full Balance Sheet, P&L, strategic projects and continuous improvement. It also offers excellent growth and development for someone who is keen to progress their career in a corporate environment.Key Job Accountabilities:
· Maintain the General Ledger, monthly working papers, and integrity of the Balance Sheet, including the control accounts for all entities, complying with SOX requirements· Capex/ Fixed Asset reporting· Balance sheet reconciliations and Month-end reporting including monthly accrual calculations, Management Fees Reporting and Journal entries.· VAT return preparation· Support the Penang shared service center with month end queries· Support with the annual Internal and External audits· Support Treasury tasks· Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives and Specialized activities as requiredWe are looking for an excellent communicator who can build and maintain good working relationships across the business and who can work well with and support others in the team.Qualifications & Experience:
· Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or actively working towards a Professional Accounting qualification· 1 years of related experience is required; 2 years of related experience is preferred· An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.· Experience using ERP systems, ideally JD Edwards or similar· A high level of proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets is preferred· Excellent communication skills and attention to detail· Self-motivated with the ability to meet strict deadlines· Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills are essential.· Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is essential.Physical Requirements:
- Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.
