Job Description
Endava introduced a three-year Finance Graduate Programme to provide an opportunity for graduates and undergraduates to gain industry knowledge and experience within the Endava Finance Team and develop relationships that will enable them to progress in their careers.
Within this programme, the Finance Trainee will benefit from at least three rotations, (likely) 1 year each, aimed at building and consolidating technical and soft skills required for Finance and accounting areas. Throughout the entire period they will have an experienced mentor who will guide and coach through all elements of the programme. The rotations will take place around such areas as: Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Contracts to Cash, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax and Treasury or SOX.
The Finance Trainee will participate in all soft skill and technical training along with the rotation teams.
- Enroll and successfully pass the exams for either the ACCA foundation level or CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting by the completion of 3 years. (Endava's cost).
- Develop knowledge of key accounting processes and take ownership of certain processes in each job rotation, as assigned by line manager.
- Develop knowledge and capability in forecasting, budgeting and business partnering processes.
- Develop broad accounting skills through successful completion of accounting exams, and on-the-job training.
- Develop soft skills through successful interactions with other parts of finance, other support functions, and client-facing personnel as the role demands.
Other duties and activities as assigned within the Programme, and as directed by line manager in each rotation.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree education with major in Accounting, Finance or similar. Current undergraduate students are also accepted.
Previous Experience
Internships/Volunteering in Finance/Accounting/ or Similar Field is a plus.
Prior Knowledge and Skills
- Good numeracy and analytical skills
- Strong motivation and commitment towards a career in Finance
- Basic knowledge of Excel
- Passionate about financial modelling skills
- Good presentation skills
- A proactive, fast learning person
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written form.
