Finance Systems Application Developer

The Polaris Finance Process & Systems team works with finance business leaders and analysts across the enterprise to drive finance process and systems. The Application Developer is responsible for designing and developing software solutions. You will collaborate with other developers and be guided by the Finance Systems Architect. You are an advocate for finance process optimization, an innovator, a creative problem solver, and a key strategic partner to the finance teams.

• Design and develop software solutions for the finance teams across the enterprise to streamline processes, increase insights and enable broader business partnership.
• Develop system data Integrations using a variety of enterprise tools based on the requirements of the request, Smart Connector, Snowflake etc.
• Day to day interaction with the development team and finance team partners to understand business problems, scheduling meetings, be proactive in asking questions and providing clear communications – prior finance and business facing experience will be helpful for this role.
• Support driving waste out of the company by automating manual non-value-add data driven processes.
• Ensure technical solutions follow architectural best practices.
• Build end to end data integrations with clear and robust curated data results.
• Effectively foster business relationships across teams (e.g., business teams, interactive group, project management, business intelligence, etc.) and develop a good view of how the business operates so that analytical results can be framed in a business context.

• Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent preferred with minimum 3 years of experience
• Strong working knowledge of systems: MS Office applications, ERPs, financial reporting and /or CPM experience desired
• Coding and development experience; knowledge of SQL and C# required, Python and Java preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and

work cross functionally with the larger organization – proficient in English.

• Able to work independently and as an active member of a team, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
• Naturally curious problem solver with experience working in an Agile environment.
• Creative, innovative, decisive, and prone to action. Quality and customer focused.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills with minimal supervision.
• Experience with data preparation, visualization, and processing from a diverse set of data sources.

• Position located in Bangalore, India. Dynamic fast-paced team environment
• Fast-paced US corporate office environment
• Shift time is 12.30PM to 9.30PM IST and should be Flexible on hours required to participate in meetings with global team.
