We are seeking a Rising Senior in College or an MBA/Master's level student to join the team as a Summer Intern as part of our Finance team based in Great Neck, NY during the Summer of 2026.
The role will require 3-4 days in the Great Neck office and the rest will be remote work.
This internship will allow a driven, hard-working and dedicated candidate to gain experience in the corporate finance department of a successful, family-owned, and growing group of manufacturing companies with exposure to the senior finance staff, but also to the company’s manufacturing finance organization and systems.
The goal of the internship is to provide concrete finance experience.
This is a full-time, paid internship position where you will work on real projects requiring real results.
Potential Projects:
Analyze financial results to identify unusual trends and balances, and research such trends and balances.
Assist in internal control reviews, reviewing data to identify patterns and/or exceptions.
Assist with the monthly financial reporting of the group.
Build and maintain Excel worksheets as required to enhance our capabilities.
Apply advanced excel queries to review datasets for data cleansing projects.
Research competitive financial information and news.
We also offer additional opportunities from social events and facility tours, to lunch and learns with company executives and other interns that allow you to network and gain a broader understanding of First Quality and its businesses. At the conclusion of the summer, all interns will present their achievements to leaders at their location.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a rising college senior majoring in Finance, Accounting or other relevant major, or a student starting or working towards a Master’s/MBA in Finance or Accounting
Minimum of a 3.0 GPA
Some experience working on relevant academic projects and/or other internships
Highly motivated, a team player, with the ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as necessary
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Some digital literacy and curiosity
Hourly salary range for this position will be based on prior experience, but we anticipate paying between $23.00 - 27.00 per hour.
