Job Title:
Finance Revenue Accounting Intern
Introduction:
This role is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program, majoring in finance, accounting, or MBA. The intern may work in several different functional areas but will have a specific focus in the area of revenue accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounting month end closing including journal entries, GL account reconciliations and other close related tasks
- Run and process Oracle reports
- Assist with internal and external audit requests
- Prepare timely and accurate reporting and analysis as needed
- Provide support with accounting related IT projects
- Participate in various accounting process improvement activities and other special projects
- Perform other ad hoc analysis as requested
Required Skills:
- This role is open to undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in a four-year or advanced degree program, majoring in finance, accounting or business.
- Familiar with general accounting procedures and US GAAP; knowledge of ASC606 is a plus
- Intermediate skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint are required
- Analytical and critical thinking skills
- Capable of taking direction and working independently on assigned tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with diverse team members as needed
