Finance Revenue Accounting Intern

Summer 2025 Internship: This position is located at our HQ in Durham, NC.  Expected program dates are May 19 - August 15, 2025.

Job Title:

Finance Revenue Accounting Intern

Introduction: 

This role is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program, majoring in finance, accounting, or MBA. The intern may work in several different functional areas but will have a specific focus in the area of revenue accounting.

Responsibilities: 

• Assist with accounting month end closing including journal entries, GL account reconciliations and other close related tasks
• Run and process Oracle reports
• Assist with internal and external audit requests
• Prepare timely and accurate reporting and analysis as needed
• Provide support with accounting related IT projects
• Participate in various accounting process improvement activities and other special projects
• Perform other ad hoc analysis as requested

Required Skills: 

• This role is open to undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in a four-year or advanced degree program, majoring in finance, accounting or business.
• Familiar with general accounting procedures and US GAAP; knowledge of ASC606 is a plus
• Intermediate skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint are required
• Analytical and critical thinking skills
• Capable of taking direction and working independently on assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with diverse team members as needed
