About the Role: 

We are looking for an Accounting Operations Associate to join our team. You will support accounting by ensuring operational tasks are completed accurately and timely. This person will work to build and improve processes around Procure to Pay (P2P) and other accounting key functions. 

You will be required to be in our San Francisco office two days per week. 

Here are a few of the things you will do:

  • Oversee our Procure to Pay software (PayEm), policies, and processes, ensuring that they are effectively managed and optimized to meet the company's needs
  • Manage the company's global P2P process by managing Purchase Order requests, purchasing cards, vendor onboarding, contract management and reporting
  • Partner with Finance on Budget Analysis and Coding
  • Work to streamline processes and implement best practices that support our accounting operations
  • Resolve issues and escalations identified by the team or our business partners
  • Assist with the administration of other finance/accounting software tools

Here is what is needed:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in a finance, operations, or accounting role
  • Experience with accounting systems (we use NetSuite and PayEm)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles 
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Google Sheets
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and financial reporting
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and projects with minimal supervision
