About the role

In this role based in Singapore, you will report to the Global Procurement Head of Finance and support the Procurement team with financial analysis and insight that supports the delivery of the Procurement strategic objectives; we play a key part in Dyson overall success.

The role assumes active engagement in senior management decision-making processes including attendance at senior management meetings and insights-based advisory during key decision-making moments; in this capacity, you will work closely with the Chief Procurement Officer and the Global Procurement organization by proving them with data-based insights, summarising financial models and presenting potential scenarios.

The focus is to drive savings initiatives and bring out the story behind the numbers and providing insights that inform decision-making around costs and supply to ensure we optimize the use of our financial resources and continue to improve profitability.

Core accountabilities:

  • Support the Procurement team (Electronics and Mechnics), with financial analysis and reporting – including cost assessments and recommendations.

  • Support and manage the Procurement cost savings KPIs and drive actions across the commodity teams.

  • Partner with Procurement COE around improving GCM execution. You will be the key finance point of contact provide financial support including insights, modelling, analysis, governance and reporting.

  • Partner with engineering and cross functional teams to deep dive in commodities around spend rationalization opportunities

  • Partner with the Product Cost team to ensure clear controls in place when reporting costs and validating CM billing

  • Ability to understand concepts and ideas quickly and model data in meaningful ways

  • Naturally Inquisitive - comfortable and willing to interrogate existing systems with large amounts of data for answers but accepts that not every query has an exact answer

  • Proactive in proposing ideas to challenge status quo  

  • Experience in working across functions and cultures and dealing with overseas entities
