Finance Manager

Your role with us
As Finance Manager, you’ll lead day-to-day finance operations for the Maltese entity, ensuring accurate reporting and alignment with group standards. You’ll support tax compliance, VAT and corporate filings, audit coordination and build robust SOPs and systems while providing financial insights to support commercial decisions and future growth.

What you will do:

• Take full ownership of day-to-day finance operations for the Maltese entity, including accounting oversight and reporting.
• Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to global headquarters.
• Support tax compliance, including VAT and corporate tax filings and coordinate audits.
• Ensure finance and operational processes meet Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) and broader iGaming regulatory expectations.
• Design and implement finance and operational SOPs to support a growing business.
• Select, implement, and improve systems and workflows to drive efficient operations.
• Provide financial insights to inform commercial decision-making and growth initiatives.
• Partner with group stakeholders on structuring, intercompany arrangements and scalability planning.
• Support the hiring and development of a small local finance/ operations team over time.
• Contribute to the broader operational requirements of establishing and running the Maltese entity.

What you will bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in accounting or finance roles, with prior experience in a Finance Manager or senior-level position.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance, VAT, corporate tax and audit coordination.
• Experience operating within a regulated environment.
• Experience setting up or improving finance processes, systems and SOPs in a growing business environment.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (e.g IFRS or equivalent).

Bonus points if you also have:

• Experience within the iGaming industry or exposure to Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) regulatory requirements.
• Experience working in a high-growth tech or startup environment.
• Prior experience hiring, mentoring or developing junior finance team members.
• Strong stakeholder management skills in a global organisation.
• Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Spreadsheets, Docs), Slack, Jira
