We are seeking for a proactive and results-driven Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of an organization, managing budgets and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develops long-term financial strategies, conduct budgeting and perform forecasting to guide the organization’s financial direction.
- Reporting and Compliance: Prepares financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state laws. This includes monitoring financial transactions and maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Investment Management: Directs investment activities and analyze financial data to make informed decisions that support the organization’s growth and profitability.
- Cost Management: Performs cost analysis to identify areas for improvement and ensure that the organization operates within its budget. This includes monitoring expenses and managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Team Leadership: Leads and manages the finance team, ensuring that all financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. Also be involved in hiring and training finance staff.
- Risk Management: Assesses financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the organization’s financial stability.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicates financial performance and strategies to stakeholders, including senior management and investors, to support decision-making processes.
- Audit Coordination: Acts as a liaison with external auditors during financial audits, ensuring that all necessary documentation is provided and that the organization complies with auditing standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must have CPA, ACCA, or CIMA certification.
- Membership with a recognized professional body (e.g., ICPAU, ACCA, CIMA).
- Must be a Ugandan citizen.
- 5+ years in a senior financial management role preferably in banking or fintech industry.
- Strong background in financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
- Proficiency with financial software (e.g., Sage, SAP or QuickBooks).
- In-depth knowledge of tax law, financial regulations and risk management.
Skills & Competencies:
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP principles.
- Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and optimize financial systems.
- Strong negotiation, contract, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Solid understanding of Uganda’s financial and tax regulatory landscape.
- High integrity and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
