Job Description:
The Commercial Finance Manager will serve as a strategic business partner to the North America commercial organization, providing financial leadership and insights that drive business performance. This role is responsible for forecasting, budgeting, pricing analysis, sales reporting, margin management, and decision support for commercial initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of business strategy and operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to support strategic decision-making through robust financial analysis.
- Lead the development and consolidation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plans for the commercial organization.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), revenue trends, and margin performance; identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
- Support pricing strategy and deal profitability analysis, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Provide financial modeling and scenario planning for commercial initiatives, product launches, and market expansion.
- Lead monthly business reviews, providing actionable insights and variance analysis to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and internal controls, and support audit and SOX requirements where applicable.
- Drive process improvements and leverage financial systems/tools to enhance reporting and decision support capabilities.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA is a plus.
- 5 –10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or business partnering roles, preferably in medical devices, pharma, consumer goods or technology.
- Strong analytical and modeling skills with advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed organization and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience supporting commercial teams.
- Knowledge of transfer pricing, revenue recognition, or gross-to-net is a plus.
- Track record of driving value through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
