SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

As a Finance Manager, you will lead the department by overseeing all financial functions, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and local regulations, and delivering timely insights to support management decisions.
This role is based in Addis Ababa and reports to the General Manager, member of the local Management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Finance team by setting targets, coaching, and monitoring performance to ensure efficiency and alignment with company values.

  • Support strategic financial planning by assisting the Company Manager with budgets, forecasts, and policies to optimize capital returns.

  • Ensure accurate financial reporting by maintaining accounts in compliance with corporate standards and local regulations.

  • Oversee financial closing and reporting processes to deliver timely and reliable insights on company performance and KPIs.

  • Manage tax compliance and credit control by ensuring timely submissions and effective credit risk management.

  • Strengthen internal controls and governance by implementing procedures, reviewing authority schedules, and addressing audit recommendations.

Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and ACCA certification are required.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience as a Finance Manager and leadership.
