About the Role:

Mt. Logan is expanding and seeking a qualified CA/CPA or Finance professional to join the Finance team as a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will provide support in all facets of finance function for both the Company and managed entities, including reporting to internal management, regulatory authorities and investors. This individual will report to the Financial Controller. This position will be based in our Bermuda office on a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office/2 days remote).

Role & Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reporting schedules

  • Interact with the Fund Administrator to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of valuations to investors

  • Review of (re)insurance contracts and maintain reinsurance accounts

  • Preparation of bank reconciliations, cashbooks and reinsurance analysis reports

  • Help maintain a number of accounting ledgers

  • Support the internal audit, external audit, statutory reporting and GAAP reporting processes

  • Assist with the implementation of operational improvements and changes to relevant policies, procedures and processes

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts

  • Various ad hoc projects and duties, as required

Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • An internationally recognized accounting designation preferred (ACA, CMA, CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent)

  • 2+ years relevant experience within the: financial Services, Insurance or investment management industries preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of the Bermuda insurance market and regulatory environment is preferred

  • High level of competency with Microsoft Office and the aptitude to learn various systems

  • Extremely strong analytical ability, problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects

  • Flexibility to work evenings, holidays and weekends, as required
