What you'll be doing  

As a Finance Manager, you will act as the key finance partner for one of our brands, ensuring strong financial control, accurate reporting, and commercial insight to support day-to-day trading decisions. The role will also play a critical part in setting up and supporting a new strategic project, ensuring financial discipline, scalability, and strong governance from inception. This role is highly operational and hands-on, with close interaction across finance, operations, and commercial teams to drive performance and profitability.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Act as the primary business finance partner for the brand, ensuring strong financial control, accurate reporting, and commercial insight to support day-to-day operations.

  • Partner closely with Planning, Retail, GM and Ecommerce teams to support decision-making and drive overall business performance.

  • Manage financial reporting including weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc performance analysis across sales, margin, and inventory.

  • Monitor and drive profitability across the liquidation business, ensuring tight control over costs, pricing, and stock efficiency.

  • Support forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with commercial plans and trading performance.

  • Provide financial input into operational and trading decisions, ensuring data-led decision-making across all channels.

  • Support the end-to-end setup and financial governance of a new strategic project, ensuring scalability and control from launch.

  • Identify risks and opportunities across trading performance and proactively recommend corrective actions.

  • Improve and streamline financial processes to support a fast-moving, high-volume operational business.

  • Deliver clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders to influence strategy and execution.

What you’ll need to succeed  

  • You hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • You preferably hold a professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, CMA.

  • You possess 3 to 5 years of experience in finance, ideally within retail, trading, FMCG, or high-volume operational environments.

  • You have a strong understanding of P&L management, inventory accounting, and margin analysis.

  • You have experience working in fast-paced, commercially driven businesses with tight operational cycles.

  • You have the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable business insights.

  • You possess strong Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with SAP systems and Looker is a plus.

  • You have a proven ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders, especially operations teams.

  • You are comfortable working in a hands-on, execution-focused role with high levels of ambiguity.

  • You have experience supporting or leading project-based work or new business launches.

  • You are a strong communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive accountability.
