We are looking for a Finance & Accounts Manager who can go beyond traditional accounting and act as a strategic finance partner to the business. The role will combine financial planning and analysis, accounting, MIS, P&L management, compliance, and business insights to support sustainable growth and informed decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, hands-on finance experience, and an understanding of technology-driven or fintech business environments. This role requires someone who can ensure financial operations are accurate, compliant, audit-ready, and aligned with business objectives.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Lead Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and deliver accurate, timely, and decision-ready MIS reports for management and leadership teams.
- Own P&L management, monitor financial performance, identify risks, and drive initiatives to improve cost efficiency.
- Manage day-to-day financial accounting, including general ledger management, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing.
- Analyze financial and operational data to generate actionable business and financial insights.
- Support financial planning and decision-making by providing clear analysis of business performance, trends, and key financial drivers.
- Ensure the finance function remains audit-ready and compliant with applicable statutory, regulatory, and financial requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support the timely completion of audits.
- Support KYC and onboarding-related financial compliance processes within technology-driven or fintech workflows.
- Collaborate with product and technology teams to support the integration of finance processes into digital/online product workflows.
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, regulatory authorities, and other external stakeholders as required.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen financial controls, improve processes, and enhance overall finance operations.
- 4–5+ years of experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably within fintech, technology, financial services, or other fast-growing businesses.
- Strong hands-on expertise in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and variance analysis.
- Proven experience in MIS preparation, financial reporting, and P&L management.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial controls.
- Prior exposure to fintech or digital product environments is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of KYC, onboarding processes, audit requirements, and regulatory/statutory compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to translate financial data into clear and actionable business insights.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with accounting/financial management software.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with leadership, auditors, banks, product teams, and other stakeholders.
- A detail-oriented and ownership-driven approach, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, financial discipline, and business impact.
- Semi-qualified CA, MBA in Finance, or CMA qualification is preferred.
