Join Cisco’s Cloud & Compute Business Entity (BE) Finance team, where finance, technology, and innovation come together to drive strategic business impact. This team partners closely with Revenue Recognition, FP&A, and cross-functional stakeholders to support scalable financial operations, business insights, and operational excellence in a fast-evolving cloud and SaaS environment.

Your Impact

As part of the Cloud & Compute Finance team, you will play a critical role in driving revenue accounting, forecasting, automation, and analytical insights. This is a high-impact opportunity for a finance professional who combines strong accounting expertise with a passion for AI-driven transformation and scalable finance operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own month-end and quarter-end close activities, including:
    • Journal entries
    • Flux analysis
    • Revenue-related reconciliations
    • Deferred Revenue, Contract Assets, and RPO reporting
  • Partner closely with Revenue Recognition teams to ensure compliance with US GAAP / ASC606 requirements
  • Leverage AI/ML tools and advanced analytics to improve forecast accuracy and drive scalable finance solutions
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting workflows and enhance operational efficiency through AI-enabled processes
  • Drive cross-functional process improvements while ensuring SOX and compliance adherence
  • Build dynamic dashboards and analytical reports using tools such as:
    • Power BI
    • Tableau
    • Python
  • Translate complex financial data into clear business insights and leadership-ready storytelling
  • Automate and streamline generation of standardized:
    • PowerPoint presentations
    • Excel reports
    • Word deliverables

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, MBA, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Revenue Recognition (ASC606)
    • SaaS business models
    • US GAAP accounting principles
  • Advanced proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Python
    • Data visualization tools (Power BI / Tableau)
  • Experience or strong aptitude in leveraging:
    • AI tools
    • Automation solutions
    • Advanced analytics for reporting and forecasting
  • Familiarity with enterprise finance systems such as:
    • Hyperion
    • Essbase
    • FINBI
    • Demantra
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience driving finance automation and transformation initiatives
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, matrixed global environment
  • Strong business partnering and executive presentation skills

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, MBA, or equivalent
